Without Christ we can do nothing

Prayer, Worship, Fasting, Jesus.
Prayer, Worship, Fasting, Jesus.

Monday the 13th it starts. A week of seeking God, pressing in, and transformation. Every year I wonder how many will participate? Who will be changed? How will our year at Compelled and the ministries be effected? How will Christ respond to us? Can I say a few things?
Fasting is hard. I struggle, but I know the power so I fast. I’ll fast Sunday night till Sunday afternoon. I also know getting up early to pray is hard. In fact, serving Christ in this world can be hard. Leading a multi-site church is hard. Parenting is hard.
But our Father is soft and this is why we need him. “Without Him we can do nothing!” Our efforts are wasted, worldly, and ineffective. The hard things in life, are easier with the mind of Christ, the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the obedience of a faithful life. Will you make this a sanctified week? Will you set it apart to seek Christ like never before. Turn of the TV, close the Facebook, stop looking at your phone and look up to the Lord. We will all be changed!
John 15.5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

The New International Version. (2011). (Jn 15:5). Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan.
